Meribel and Brides les Bains
Many mountain biking trails start from Meribel or Mottaret. Ski lifts are open to mountain bikes during July and August (but not all lifts are open everyday). So if you don't like to climb, you can ride in . However a good technical level and good brakes is required to go downhill.
Lift passes cost 15€ per day, or 40€ per week. You can rent bikes of all sorts in the resort, and take a guided ride (from 30€ for half a day).
Every year is July, two events are organized. They are open to all.
- The Free Bike going down from the Saulire to Brides le Bains.
- A loop around the Trois Vallés going through Courchevel, la Tania, Méribel, les Menuires and Val Thorens. You will have to climb 1100m and down 3400m thanks to the lifts.

Geneva airport is 80 miles away, Lyon 110 miles, Chambery 60 miles. From Geneva, Touriscar run buses to the resort. From Lyon St. Exupéry, Satobus takes around 4 hrs. From Chambéry Transvoie run one bus per day. Meribel company ATS run shared minibuses which take you door-to-door from Geneva and from Chambery on Saturday.
By train, it is possible to travel to Moutiers Station, then by bus or taxi to Meribel.
